Subject: @notmtwain -- Here's Project Gutenberg's copy of Mother West Wind 'Why' Stories, by Thornton W. Burgess.
@notmtwain -- You're right, lovely book ruined by some missing pages. Anyway, here's the full text of "Mother West Wind 'Why' Stories" in HTML from Project Gutenberg (also here at Internet Archive--it's presently the only other copy):
http://ia700304.us.archive.org/6/items/motherwestwindwh14958gut/14958-h/14958-h.htm
I suppose an enthusiastic person could add the missing pages and resubmit a completed file. ;-) - BTW, this incomplete copy has to be in the best condition of any century-old book here at IA that I've seen--the cover and all pages are immaculate. Reckon it must have been put aside out of harm's way when the missing pages were discovered. It's so 'new' I downloaded the .JP2 version for the drawings.
Demoted four to three stars for the link version (as it's only in HTML).

Book has a charming cover scan but is missing pages 1 and 2 (and maybe more-- this just stopped me dead.) I checked the PDF, the EPUB and the online versions. I imagine they were missing from the original. Too bad. It looked like a charming little book.
